Hot Girls, Hot Food, Hot Cars

| Hot Girls, Hot Food, Hot Cars (The car: 1939 Ford Cabriolet) The drive-in, like the hot rod is a uniquely American Idea. From there beginnings in the teens and twenties until they began to fade away in the sixties and seventies. The drive-in was the perfect expression of our youthful relationship with cars, in a youthful car commerce paradise. Many featured, flashy architecture, trimmed in miles of neon, cute carhops, and the aroma of hamburgers and French fries. All designed to lure you in. The drive-in beckoned teenagers of all ages for generations. In the 1950's and 60's the drive-in was the teen hub of activity. It was the place you cruised to meet chicks, find parties, and to show off your rod. Beyond all this, it was also the place where you developed your addiction to burgers, fries, and malts.
