In 1964,my last year in High School the Era of Muscle Began. There were fast cars before ,but not with this kind of through you back in the seat attitude. They were refer to as "Hot Rod Killers". Most of us who owned hot rods had a kind of love-hate reaction to them. We hated being blown off by one of them, but on the other hand we all wanted one.
Some of us waited until wreck ones began to show up at the local junkyard, and then we would make a bee line there to snatch up a new drive train for the rod. The others, wiped out their wallets and went to the dealers. The factory rod was here.
